Terms & Conditions

A Place to Exhale | Effective Date: March 10, 2026

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using this website. By accessing or using this Site, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this Site.

1. About This Website

A Place to Exhale ("the Site," "we," "us") is a collective informational website operated jointly by Jamie L. Katoff, LMFT and Victoria Whisman, LMFT — two independent licensed therapists. The Site is designed to provide general information about their services and to help visitors connect with the appropriate therapist.

Each therapist operates her own independent private practice. This Site does not constitute a shared business entity, partnership, or group practice.

2. No Therapeutic Relationship

USE OF THIS WEBSITE DOES NOT CREATE A THERAPEUTIC RELATIONSHIP between you and A Place to Exhale, Jamie L. Katoff, LMFT, or Victoria Whisman, LMFT.

A therapeutic relationship is established only through a formal intake process completed directly with a therapist through her individual practice. Until that process is complete, no duty of care, confidentiality obligation, or therapist-client relationship exists.

3. Not a Crisis Resource

This Site is not a crisis intervention service. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, are in danger of harming yourself or others, or require immediate assistance, please:

  • Call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) — call or text
  • Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room
  • Contact the Crisis Text Line by texting HOME to 741741

4. Informational Purpose Only

The content on this Site — including all text, descriptions, and information about perimenopause, codependency, and related topics — is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, psychological advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always seek the guidance of a qualified health provider with questions you may have regarding a medical or mental health condition. Never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read on this Site.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, graphics, logos, and design — is the property of A Place to Exhale and/or the individual therapists and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this Site without prior written permission.

This Site contains links to external websites, including the individual practice websites of Jamie L. Katoff, LMFT and Victoria Whisman, LMFT. These links are provided for convenience only. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any linked third-party site.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

This Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy or completeness of any information on the Site.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, A Place to Exhale, Jamie L. Katoff, LMFT, and Victoria Whisman, LMFT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use this Site or its content.

9. Geographic Scope
